Duffy calls for RnaG studio in north Mayo

Mayo Fine Gael candidate Councillor Mark Duffy is to press for the establishment of a Radio na Gaeltachta studio in the Erris Gaeltacht.

He elaborated: "Our Mayo Gaeltacht cannot be overlooked.

"The Donegal, Connemara, Kerry and Waterford Gaeltachts each have their fully equipped and staffed RnaG studios broadcasting daily news, sports, music weather forecasts and cultural programmes from their Gaeltacht hinterlands.

"Here in Mayo we have three very proud Gaeltachts in Erris, Tourmakeady and Achill and a rich and proud tapestry woven into the language.

"If I am elected I will prioritise the case for our own RnaG studio in Eachleam."
