Castlebar Lions Club launch Christmas food appeal

CASTLEBAR Lions Club has presented a cheque for €5,000 to the Castlebar Saint Vincent de Paul Society to assist those in need in the community. Club president Ronan Moran commended the society on its excellent work and supporters of the Lions Club for their generosity and unwavering support.

The Castlebar Lions Club Christmas Food Appeal 2024 will take place this year at Dunnes Stores, Castlebar, on Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7, and the following Friday and Saturday, December 13 and 14.

The club wishes to acknowledge the critical role played by Dunnes Stores in Castlebar for allowing the club to collect food and cash on their premises and would like to thank manager Padraic Felle and all of his team. The club has also extended thanks to the local radio stations and newspapers for supporting and assisting with projects, including the Christmas food appeal.
