The Lunch Bag delivers life-saving devices to Mayo schools

THIS Christmas, The Lunch Bag, Ireland’s leading school meals provider, is reinforcing its commitment to the health and safety of students by donating LifeVac anti-choking devices to every school it serves, including those in Mayo.

The LifeVac, a regulated medical device, is designed to prevent choking emergencies, and adds an invaluable layer of safety for thousands of children nationwide.

“The team at LifeVac Europe are thrilled by the generous donation The Lunch Bag are doing for schools across Ireland. In combination with their school meals this clearly shows The Lunch Bag’s commitment to not only keeping children nutritionally healthy, but also to keep children safer in a choking emergency when first aid fails or cannot be performed.

“LifeVac Europe has helped save 3,128 lives to date, of which 1,960 have been precious children,” said Matt Banagan, sales and marketing director, LifeVac Europe.

This initiative is a reflection of The Lunch Bag’s broader mission: to transform Ireland’s nutritional and wellbeing landscape.

Their road crew, known for their fun and engaging visits, will spread festive cheer while personally delivering the life-saving devices to schools. By promoting safe and healthy eating, The Lunch Bag continues to play a vital role in the lives of children, schools, and families across the country.

The Lunch Bag CEO Ray Nangle said: “We are honored to be able to do this for our schools. Although we do hope it’s a gift that will never be needed, we hope it brings peace of mind to school communities nationwide.”
