Appeal for further street power-washing in Mayo town centre

An elected member of Mayo County Council has welcomed an initiative to power-spray streets in Castlebar town centre.

Councillor Cyril Burke said the work carried out at a number of locations made a significant impact.

But he would like to see the work extended to all streets and be carried out on a regular basis.

"It certainly makes a big difference," he added.
