Chapel Street Gospel Choir celebrate Christmas with sold-out concerts
“IT’S the most wonderful time of the year!” croons Andy Williams in his icon song, and Chapel Street Gospel Choir know this all too well.
Bringing to a close their busy 25th anniversary year, which saw them collaborating with Mundy, Donna Taggart and local singer-songwriter U.M.A.N., broadened their fan base which resulted in both of their upcoming Christmas concerts being sold out by the start of December!
“This is a reflection of the development of the choir,” attests choir director Kathy Fahey. “As it has evolved over the past number of years, so has the audience grown.”
December 22 sees the gospel choir close off the year with two Christmas concerts in the beautiful setting of Christchurch on the Mall in Castlebar at 5 and 8 p.m.. As always, an eclectic mix of Christmas songs is promised, combined with a joyful, spirited and engaging performance that is synonymous with Chapel Street Gospel Choir and their super house band.
Note that both concerts are ticket only and for those of you that have been lucky enough to get your hands on tickets, well done, you will undoubtedly enjoy fantastically festive shows!
