Mayo LGFA ratifies new chairperson at annual general meeting

Sinead Stagg of Hollmount Ladies GAA Club has been ratified as the new chairperson of Mayo LGFA. She takes over from Des Phillips following his stint in the chair.

Sinead – who guided Mayo to the Under 14 All-Ireland LGFA Platinum title as manager last year – was ratified at the organisation's annual general meeting, held in the TF Royal Hotel & Theatre, Castlebar, yesterday (Tuesday).

The other officers elected were as follows: vice-chairperson Helen O'Hara (Castlebar Mitchels), secretary P.J. McDonagh (Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin), assistant secretary Joanne Regan (Kilmovee Shamrocks), treasurer Richard Heneghan (Breaffy), assistant treasurer Eileen McGuinness (Charlestown), PRO Aisling Heraty (Westport), assistant PRO Jen Murphy (Kilmaine), registrar Stephanie Craughwell (Kilmovee Shamrocks), children’s officer Stella O'Neill (Ballyhaunis), development officer Deirdre Donnelly (Carnacon), chairperson of fixtures Eamon McGreal (Balla), delegates to Connacht Neil Masterson (Burrishoole) and Aisling McLoughlin (Davitts), player delegate to Connacht Emma Galligan (Moy Davitts), delegate to Central Council Ruaidhri O’Hara (Knockmore), language and culture officer Sean Folan (Thuar Mhic Éadaigh).

There are two positions vacant: delegate to Central Council, and player delegate to Central Council.
