Ideal Christmas market conditions this weekend for Mayo
After last weekend’s storm and red weather warnings, shoppers can look forward to attending Christmas markets in festive temperatures, according to the forecast,
Take a look below at what the weather has in store for the county.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14
It will be a bright and mostly dry start to tomorrow, Saturday, with good spells of sunshine and just well scattered showers in the morning.
It will become increasingly cloudy through the day with light rain and drizzle spreading from the northwest later in the afternoon and evening.
It will be a milder day, with highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees and light or moderate west to southwesterly winds freshening later in coastal areas.
High pressure will continue to have an influence on our weather in the short term.
While it'll be breezier than of late, there'll be a lot of dry weather, with just a little rain and drizzle and it'll be relatively mild.
It’s going to turn unsettled though during Tuesday, indeed very unsettled for the following couple of days, with spells of wet and windy weather. Continuing relatively mild or very mild for a time, but it'll turn a little cooler later next week.
SATURDAY NIGHT
Saturday night will be cloudy with a little rain and drizzle, along with some mist and hill fog. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees in mostly moderate, occasionally fresh west to southwest winds.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15
Sunday will be a mostly cloudy day with some patchy outbreaks of light rain and drizzle, along with some mist.
There'll be a good deal of dry weather too.
It'll be a little milder and breezier than of late with highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in moderate to fresh and occasionally gusty southwest to west winds, strong at times in some northern and western coastal parts.
SUNDAY NIGHT
It will be mostly cloudy for a time with a little patchy light rain and drizzle here and there, though some clear spells will gradually develop.
Relatively mild with lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest to west winds, a little stronger still in coastal parts of the north and west.
