Additional accommodation for Mayo school

MINISTER of State Alan Dillon has welcomed news that project approval has been granted to Glencorrib National School, Shrule, for the extension and refurbishment of the existing school building.

Said Minister Dillon: “I am pleased to receive confirmation from the Department of Education that initial project approval has been granted to Glencorrib NS for one mainstream classroom and the reconfiguration of two smaller rooms to provide a second mainstream classroom.

“I want to congratulate principal Orna Friel, her board of management and staff on this successful application which will provide much needed accommodation for this school.”
