Construction starts on passenger shelter at Mayo airport

WORK has commenced on the construction of a new sheltered walkway for passengers boarding flights at Ireland West Airport.

The covered area will be connected to the departures area and will be warmly welcomed by the thousands of passengers who use the facility every year.

Ireland West Airport has confirmed that the project is set to be completed in time for the commencement of the busy summer flight schedule.

They have apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused over the coming weeks during the construction phase of the project.
