Freezing fog to appear hazardous for Mayo commuters this week
A yellow weather alert remains in place for much of this week but the worst won’t be in the west.

Bitterly cold tomorrow with widespread frost and icy patches.
There will be sunshine and scattered showers with some wintry falls likely.
Highest temperatures generally ranging from 0 to +5 degrees.
Moderate west to north westerly winds will be fresh to strong and gusty in the west and northwest of the province.
Very cold with widespread frost and ice along with scattered wintry showers.
Some areas of freezing fog also.
Clear spells and scattered sleet and snow showers on Monday night, the showers most frequent in the west and north.
Widespread frost and ice with lowest temperatures of -5 to zero degrees in moderate west to northwest winds.
