Mayo household waste collection service changes hands

The Castlebar-based household waste collection service, operated for many years by Sweeney Recycling and Jooreen Limited, has changed hands.

The service is now under the ownership of Barna Recycling, Headford, Co. Galway.

The sale has been confirmed by Jooreen Limited in a letter to its customers.

Weekly collections will continue as normal until January 31 when Barna Recycling staff take over the service.

Sweeney Recycling and Jooreen Limited plan to transfer its customer accounts to Barna Recycling by January 25 next.

JJ and Kathleen Sweeney have thanked their customers and their team at Sweeney Recycling for all the support and loyalty over the years.
