Mayo goalkeeper signs new deal with Sligo Rovers
Sligo Rovers have secured the services of talented goalkeeper Amber Hardy for the 2025 season, with the former Straide & Foxford shot-stopper signing a new deal with the club after impressing in her debut campaign between the sticks.
Hardy, who has been a key figure for Rovers since her promotion to the senior set up last year expressed her excitement about continuing her journey under manager Steve Feeney. "He gave me the opportunity to play in this league, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it since," she said. "This year, I aim to continue improving both as a goalkeeper and as a person."
Her development has not gone unnoticed, as she recently participated in an “Ireland Under-19 training camp”, further solidifying her status as one of the brightest young goalkeepers in the country.
With Hardy’s commitment to Sligo Rovers and her international ambitions, 2025 is shaping up to be a big year for the former St. Joseph’s secondary school shot stopper.
