Connacht Cup and awards night in busy week ahead for Mayo Women's League

THE Mayo Women's Football League will hold its annual awards event next Friday, January 17.

Players across the three leagues will be honoured - Under 17, Under 19 and Women's - in a number of categories after a season that again saw the continued growth of the game in the county.

Also on the night, the Michael Jennings Service to Football award winner will be announced. This is the third year of this award being presented in remembrance of a man who gave dedicated service to the women's game in Mayo.

The awards take place in the Western Hotel, Claremorris, on Friday and proceedings get underway at 9 p.m.
