Uisce Éireann urges Mayo customers to conserve water
UISCE Éireann is appealing to customers across Mayo to conserve water and protect supply.
Following the cold spell, the company is working to find and fix leaks and maintain water supply for the thousands of customers across the county.
Burst pipes have resulted in reservoir levels depleting significantly which has in turn put pressure on water supplies.
Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill appealed to customers to conserve water in the coming days as crews fix leaks and reservoirs replenish.
“Conserving water will help prevent additional strain on local supplies and ensure that customers are not affected by reduced water pressure or a disruption to their supply,” she said.
“We are asking people to remain vigilant over the coming days and report any leaks in the public network so that our crews can carry out repairs. The public can report leaks or bursts to our customer care team on 1800 278 278."
