Death of member of popular Mayo family is deeply regretted

The death has taken place at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin, of Alice Fox (née Horkan), Wicklow Town, and formerly of Church View, Killiney Co. Dublin, and Castlebar.

A member of widely-known and respected Castlebar family, she was a sister of Sean, Eamon and Henry Horkan and is fondly remembered in the county town, where she grew up.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy, she survived by her family: Seamus, Padraic, Carina (Traynor), Eilis (Grumley) and Mairead, daughters-in-law Geraldine and Meave, sons-in-law Ronan and Graham, adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, her sister Betty, brothers, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Alice will be reposing in McCrea's Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town, (A67EOO8) on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Removal on Friday morning to St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, arriving for 10 a.m. Funeral Mass, followed by interment in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Arklow.
