Nominations open for The Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sports Stars Awards

Nominations are now open for The Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sports Stars Awards 2024.

The Mayo Young Sports Stars Awards, organised by The Connaught Telegraph to recognise younger athletes aged Under 23 who have become high achievers, will take place on Friday, March 7, at Breaffy House Resort.

We invite you to be part of this event and help support and recognise our young stars.

If you know of an individual, a group or a team of Mayo sports people who performed exceptionally in 2024, now is your chance to nominate them.

These nominations can also include a coach, mentor or volunteer whose help has ensured the success of others, and nominations can be submitted for any sport.

The closing date for receipt of nominations is Thursday, February 13.

A number of individual athletes, groups and teams will be singled out in various categories, while we will once again present the Darragh Doherty Memorial Cup and Melissa Patterson Memorial Cup to the overall male and female sports persons of the year, respectively.
