Mayo island hosting town hall meeting to shape its future

AN Inishturk town hall meeting is taking place on Saturday, February 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. in Inishturk Community Club.

The meeting aims to inform and engage the community and offers an opportunity to share valuable input in shaping the island’s future for 2025 and beyond.

The town hall meeting will provide updates on key island initiatives, including strategic development, finances, community projects, marketing and sustainability.

The board, community club and development staff will deliver short updates, followed by a Q&A session for community feedback.

Following a chairperson’s introduction from Fionn Kidney, topic updates include finance, the community club, the island cottages and shop, marketing and events, an island development update, a discussion on nett zero, and the community hub project. A community input session will follow.
