Tributes to Mayo priest on his passing in Melbourne
The death has occurred in Melbourne of Fr. Tom Cleary, Columban Fathers, Melbourne, Australia, and formerly Logboy, Claremorris.
Pre-deceased by his parents Martin and Johanna Cleary and brother Michael, he is deeply regretted by his brothers Enda, Séan and Walter, sisters Mary Jo and Marguerite, sisters-in-law Jo and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.
Fond tributes have been paid to the deceased on social media.
One stated: "A very good kind and special man who spread love and kindness wherever he went."
Another said: "An amazing man. Intelligent and witty. Was dedicated to his work as I´m sure any of his parishioners would testify to."
A further tribute described him as 'a wonderful priest'.
Cremains will leave Donnellan's Funeral Home, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis, at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday morning, arriving to St. Mary's Church, Logboy for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Tulrahan Cemetery.
