Nationally, an estimated 101,000 customers remain without power and 2,800 have no water following Storm Éowyn.

Almost a week on from the storm, ESB networks say they have restored power supply to 667,000 homes, farms and businesses.

Work is ongoing to reconnect the remaining customers affected.

The ESB is also warning of very dangerous incidents where members of the public have come across fallen infrastructure in the worst affected areas in the country.

It asks people not to touch or approach any damaged infrastructure as it may be live, and to call the ESB to report any damage discovered.

Uisce Éireann say that 2,800 remain without water.

Water has been restored to 4,500 premises since yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Department of Social Protection has paid a total of €225,345 in humanitarian assistance in the aftermath of Storm Éowyn.

Up to 1,150 payments have been issued under the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme since the storm hit Ireland last week.

A number of premises, including homes and schools, suffered significant damage throughout the storm.
