HSE programme open to Mayo people to change cannabis use
The HSE Drug Service is offering an eight-week group treatment programme for people concerned about their use of cannabis.
The programme will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at a venue in Galway City from Wednesday, February 26.
It is a free and confidential service and is suitable for those aged 18 and over living in Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.
This programme is aimed at those who would like to stop, cut down or explore if they want to make a change in their use of cannabis.
Many participants in previous programmes have reduced their use or achieved abstinence.
The programme is based on treatment strategies that research has proved to be effective and is facilitated by two counsellors working in the Galway City Drug Service.
