Mayo LGFA calls for record-breaking crowd in Swinford this weekend
Mayo LGFA is urging supporters to come out in force and fill Swinford Amenity Park on Sunday (February 9) as the senior ladies take on Tyrone in their first home game of the 2025 Lidl National League.
With crucial league points on the line, the team is calling on Mayo fans to show their support and create an atmosphere worthy of these dedicated athletes.
To add to the excitement, Mayo LGFA has partnered with the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel & Leisure Club in Monaghan to offer an incredible prize to one lucky supporter.
Every adult ticket purchased for the Mayo v Tyrone game will automatically be entered into a draw for an unforgettable match-day experience.
The winner will receive two tickets to the Mayo v Armagh GAA and LGFA double-header at BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, Armagh, on Saturday, February 22, along with an overnight stay for two at the Four Seasons Hotel & Leisure Club, Monaghan.
The prize also includes a full Irish breakfast in The Still Bar & Restaurant and full access to the hotel’s award-winning leisure facilities, including an 18-metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and fully equipped gym.
Mayo LGFA is determined to generate record-breaking support in Swinford and highlight the growing profile of women’s football in the county.
The Mayo senior ladies train and compete at the highest level, yet attendance at National League games remains significantly lower than that of their male counterparts. The team hopes that by offering this exciting prize, more fans will turn out in numbers to show their support for the players and recognise their dedication to the game.
To be in with a chance of winning, supporters must purchase their adult ticket for Mayo v Tyrone before midnight on Saturday (February 8). The winner will be announced live on Midwest Radio during the match-day broadcast from Swinford Amenity Park. Tickets are available now via Mayo LGFA’s social media channels and website.
With home advantage, a crucial two points at stake, and a determined Mayo side eager to put on a performance, next Sunday’s game promises to be an unmissable occasion. Fans are encouraged to be there, be loud, and show that Mayo LGFA has the best supporters in the country.
