Ongoing traffic issues on Mayo road highlighted

TRAFFIC issues on the Balloor Road outside Castlebar have not gone away.

Councillor Al McDonnell has received requests for lay-bys and ramps to be installed on the road.

He highlighted these suggestions to council management at the monthly Castlebar Municipal District meeting.

Ramps, said Councillor McDonnell, would slow traffic down and may even deter some motorists from using the route.
