Mayo Ministers Dillon and Calleary set for transatlantic St. Patrick’s Day visits
Mayo’s two Government Ministers, Dara Calleary and Alan Dillon, are gearing up for overseas visits as part of Ireland’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
This year’s annual diplomatic charm offensive is keen to focus on the United States with 10 of the 40 government Minister heading to America.
Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary will travel to Atlanta and Savannah, representing the Government in key engagements. Atlanta, Georgia is the home of Coca-Cola, a key employer in Calleary’s north Mayo.
Meanwhile, Fine Gael’s Alan Dillon, Minister of State for Enterprise, will make his way to Vancouver and Utah, where he is expected to promote Ireland’s tourism and business interests.
The visits are part of a wider Government initiative that will see 38 representatives travel to 90 cities across 40 countries.
