Funding secured for 13 Mayo heritage projects under investment scheme
Minister for Rural Affairs and Social Protection, Dara Calleary, has announced funding for 13 heritage projects in Mayo under the Built Heritage Investment Scheme.
Funding was allocated for five structures in Ballina, while two buildings in Castlebar were also granted funding from the Department.
Other successful projects include the Thatched Cottage in Mulranny (€5,000), Bridge House in Westport (€8,000), and St. Patrick’s Church in Westport (€16,000). Additional sites in Achill and Ballinrobe also received funding.
Minister Calleary welcomed the allocation, noting Mayo’s strong representation in this year’s scheme and congratulating all successful applicants.
