From 'Close to You' to 'We’ve Only Just Begun', be transported back to the golden era of '70s pop, with stunning vocals and world-class musicianship.

Whether new to their music or a lifelong fan, this night celebrates the enduring legacy of The Carpenters. Relive the magic of one of pop’s most iconic acts, brought to life in spectacular fashion.

THEATRE, COMEDY AND MUSIC

Theatre season continues, with two exciting productions to absorb and entertain.

Little John Nee presents the immersive Zeitgeist Jukebox on Thursday, February 20. Set in an old warehouse, audiences are invited to join an eccentric band in creating the greatest album of the 21st century, using primitive recording equipment.

Nee’s masterful storytelling and gentle punk approach fuses music and narrative into a soulful, humorous journey, demonstrating the healing power of music.

To Friday, February 28, when the Clann Machua Drama Group present a theatrical adaptation of Roddy Doyle’s adored novel, synonymous with 1990s Ireland, The Snapper. The play delves into the chaotic, humorous life of the Rabbitte family as they navigate an unexpected pregnancy, uncovering secrets and strengthening bonds along the way.

Also upcoming at the Linenhall, there’s Bernard O'Shea with Desperate House Husband on March 7 and Karl Spain brings The One Show on March 14.

Enjoy enchanting music and song with the Naomi Berrill Trio on March 13 and the hypnotic instrumentals of Kammerphilharmonie Europa on March 18.

THE WRITE HOURS

An empowering creative opportunity has also been curated. The Write Hours, a series of workshops led by Alice Kinsella, commences on March 11. Running for six weeks, in a structured, nurturing environment, writers of all levels can explore different aspects of writing, with prompts, writing time, and peer feedback.

Alice also leads Your Side of the Story: Creative Non-Fiction on February 15, a one-day workshop specifically for those interested in penning a memoir or a non-fiction topic. No prior experience is necessary.
