Mayo under pressure ahead of crucial Tyrone clash - Tomas O'Se

Kerry legend Tomás Ó Sé has expressed concern about Mayo's position as they prepare to face Tyrone this Sunday following defeats to Dublin and Galway in their opening National League games.

Speaking on RTÉ's GAA Podcast, Ó Sé spoke about the mounting pressure on Kevin McStay's side. "Mayo are in a bit of bother already," he stated, citing the recent Galway dominance in Connacht and last weeks 10 point victory which he believes has intensified scrutiny on the team.

The challenge ahead looks significant as Tyrone arrives with a strengthened squad. Manager Malachy O'Rourke confirmed that Errigal Ciaran stars Peter Harte, Joe Oguz, and the Canavan brothers are available for selection.

Mayo's situation has been complicated by recent departures, including all-time top scorer Cillian O'Connor. However, there's positive news with veteran Aidan O'Shea set to return to the panel soon.

While acknowledging Mayo's reputation for resilience, Ó Sé observed that this is "a completely different team than they were three or four years ago."

The match against Tyrone, who themselves are looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat to Armagh, could prove crucial for both teams' Division 1 survival hopes.
