Mayo hospital staff facing serious overcrowding problems

Staff at the emergency department of Mayo University Hospital are facing serious overcrowding problems today.

There are over 30 patients left without beds at the centre, 13 in the emergency department and 17 in wards elsewhere.

Nationally, 623 admitted patients are waiting for beds, according to the INMO Trolley Watch.
