Zambrero to mark official opening in Mayo with 100 free burritos

ZAMBRERO, the Mexican-inspired fresh food restaurant, first opened in December in Circle K on Humbert Way, Castlebar, will mark the occasion with its official launch on February 28 with 100 free burritos, followed by a 2-for-1 deal for the rest of the day.

Burrito lovers in Mayo now have a new go-to spot for lunch or dinner, with a menu featuring delicious burritos, bowls and nachos. Diners can choose from a variety of flavourful proteins, fresh fillings, and tasty sauces, with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options available.

Darragh Fanning, general manager of Zambrero in Ireland, said: “Opening our first location in Mayo is a significant milestone in our expansion across the west of Ireland. Our team is excited to bring the Zambrero ethos to the community and introduce our Mexican-inspired food to even more people.”

In addition to offering healthy Mexican-inspired cuisine, Zambrero remains dedicated to its Plate 4 Plate initiative, which ensures that for every burrito or bowl purchased, a meal is donated to someone in need through Zambrero's distribution partner, Rise Against Hunger. With each meal sold at Zambrero, customers can contribute to this impactful programme and help fight global hunger.

Zambrero has been shortlisted for the Just Eat Awards 2024 in the Best Chain category, with winners set to be announced in April. This follows its Silver win in 2023 as the second-best Mexican restaurant in Ireland.

The new store is located in Circle K, New Ring Road Service Station, Humbert Way, Knockaphunta, and will open each day from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m,. Monday through Sunday.
