Windy and wet weekend ahead for county Mayo

Temperatures a little above average at first, but returning closer to seasonal norms early next week, according to the latest forecast.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22

It will be a bright day tomorrow with sunny spells and scattered showers.

Highs of 10 to 12 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds.

SATURDAY NIGHT

Saturday night will start out largely dry with just isolated showers but cloud will thicken from the Atlantic and rain will push eastwards across the country overnight.

Winds will increase too, with strong to gale force southerly winds developing.

Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees, will occur early in the night.
