Yellow wind and rain warning for Mayo

MAYO is bracing itself for a very windy and wet day this Sunday.

A Status Yellow wind and rain warning for the county has been issued by Met Éireann.

The warning comes into operation from 2 a.m. Sunday and will remain in force until midnight.

Met Éireann are forecasting very strong and gusty southerly winds together with spells of heavy rain.

Possible impacts include difficult travel conditions, localised flooding, fallen trees and loose debris, as well as poor visibility.
