Modular extension for west Mayo school
MINISTER of State Alan Dillon has welcomed news that a modular extension has been approved for a west Mayo secondary school.
He has received confirmation from the Department of Education that approval has been granted for a modular extension which will provide two extra Special Educational Needs (SEN) classrooms and one home economics room at Rice College, Westport.
Said Minister Dillon: “I want to congratulate principal Michael Rabbette, deputy principal Sinéad Ruddy, the board of management, staff and pupils at Rice College for their successful application, which will provide much needed facilities for students with special needs along with providing further subject options to their students with the provision of this home economics room.
“I want to wish them the best of luck with this project going forward and have no doubt it will be a welcome addition to the school community.”
