Dates confirmed for the annual Michael Commins concert shows
The annual Michael Commins concert shows will be staged in The Clayton Hotel in Galway on Monday and Tuesday, March 10 and 11.
Patrons can once again look forward to two phenomenal shows that cater for those who love real country music as well as Irish ballads and folk songs.
No shows comes near in attracting such loyal audiences and these concerts have become legendary for their unique atmosphere as many return year after year to renew friendships and enjoy a lovely blend of new acts and favourite traditional country singers.
This year is even bigger than before with 17 different acts on stage each night.
All four provinces are represented on both nights and one of the new acts who will be making his debut appearance in Galway on Monday night (March 10) is 16-year-old Paddy Mullane from Limerick.
Paddy is a terrific ballad singer and is assured of a very warm welcome on the night.
The Monday night line-up is sure to set the mood for the two nights and featured John Glenn from Armagh who is celebrating 50 years in country music, Tony Allen, Eamon McCann, Art Supple, Billy McFarland, Olivia Douglas, Matt Keane, Pat McKenna, PJ Murrihy, Thomas McBride, Moyra Fraser, Don Stiffe, Muriel O’Connor and Fran Curry, Joe Forde, Paddy Mullane, Michael Holster, PJ Duggan, Paul Forde, Charlie Arkins, and The Ryan Turner Band
Patrons can look forward to another delightful show on Tuesday night (March 11) when Paudie McAuliffe from Kerry, the man who made When The Robins Come Home famous, will be making his first ever appearance in the western province and is guaranteed to get a phenomenal welcome.
The superb array of artists on this show also features Sean Keane, Robert Mizzell, Shawn Cuddy, Mick Mulhern, Effie Neill, Kenny Archer,
The Killarneys ballad group (back by popular demand), TR Dallas, Nan Tom, Gerry Walsh (Waterford), Eddie Lee, Caitriona Canavan, Damian Davis, Ross Molloy, Richard Mulligan, Colin Kenny, Billy Condon, and The Ryan Turner band.
The ever popular afternoon sessions in the bar with Mick Mulhern and Friends (Michael Holster, Michael Golden and John Costello) will be held from 3.30 to 5.30 p.m. on both days so that patrons can ease into the mood of the weekend.
