Mayo Young Sports Stars: Unbeatable in cross-country and on the track

Freya Renton of Westport AC displayed her dominance in the Under 15 and Under 16 age categories last year.

The Westport AC athlete amassed a total of nine gold medals across various track and cross-country competitions.

Pushed on constantly by her twin sister Holly, who must be acknowledged also for her sporting successes, Freya simply could not be beaten, and it came as no surprise to anyone to see her wear the Irish singlet a few weeks ago – with her sister alongside her, naturally.

Freya will be honoured for her achievements at The Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sports Stars Awards 2024 in Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar, on Friday, March 7.
