Mayo Young Sports Stars: Making a big impact in a short amount of time

Amber Hardy has made a big impact in short time at Sligo Rovers FC.

After making her debut for the senior team in late 2023, she figured prominently last year, and her development did not go unnoticed as she participated in an Ireland Under 19 training camp in the latter half of the year, further solidifying her status as one of the brightest young goalkeepers in the country.

With her Sligo Rovers and international ambitions, this year is shaping up to be another big one for former Straide & Foxford United player.

Her breakthrough at Sligo Rovers earns her a Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sports Stars Award, which will be presented to her at the gala awards ceremony in Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar, on Friday, March 7.
