Mayo Young Sports Stars: Grace and poise in the ring

Grace Bailey is a repeat winner at The Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sports Stars Awards.

Like last year, she is picking up an award for boxing – but this is a talented athlete in other sports too, chiefly Gaelic football.

In the ring last year, Grace was crowned Mayo and Connaught Under 16 70kg champion last, and was an All-Ireland silver medallist in the same category.

She trains twice a day five days a week, and has already achieved success in the ring again this year, so pugilism is clearly something she excels at.

Grace will collect her award at the Mayo Young Sports Stars gala ceremony in Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar, on Friday, March 7.
