Picture becomes clearer for Mayo as Connacht SFC dates are confirmed
Connacht GAA have confirmed dates and times for this year's Senior Football Championship.
Mayo will get their campaign up and running against Sligo at the quarterfinal stage. The game will be played in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar, at 3.30 p.m. on Sunday, April 6.
The championship will commence the previous day (Saturday, April 5) with the last eight encounter between London and Roscommon in Ruislip (2.30 p.m.), while champions Galway are in the Big Apple on the opening weekend. They face New York in Gaelic Park on Sunday, April 6, at 3 p.m. Irish time.
The semi-finals will be played over the weekend of April 19/20.
On Saturday, April 19, the winners of the Mayo v Sligo clash will face Leitrim in either Markievicz Park or Carrick-on-Shannon. The game will commence at 4.30 p.m.
The other semi-final will see Roscommon take on the winners of the Galway v New York quarterfinal on Sunday, April 20, at 4 p.m. in Pearse Stadium, Salthill.
This year's Connacht SFC final has been fixed for Sunday, May 4, throwing in at 4 p.m.
