ANNE WARHURST, WESTPORT

Anne Warhurst (née Hill), Prospect, Westport, and late of Westport Quay.

Anne and her husband, Joe (R.I.P.), moved to Westport from the U.S. in their 90s to be close to their only child and son-in-law. Joe and Anne could often be seen together on their daily walks around the Quay. Anne, who came from a long line of educators, was an avid sailor in her younger days and traveled all around America and beyond. She was a kind, gentle soul, with an innate sense of taste and style, always positive and with a ready wit.

Following Joe’s death in 2022, she moved in with her daughter and son-in-law, Iris and Bill Galloway, by whom she will be deeply missed. She will likewise be missed by her wider family, many devoted friends, and kind neighbours. Her family is grateful to all the healthcare professionals who helped her in her final months, especially the wonderful and caring staff of Ballinamore House Nursing Home, Kiltimagh.

FRANCES RYAN, HOLLYMOUNT

Frances Ryan (née Cullinane), Carrowkeel, Hollymount, and formerly of Cortoon, Tuam.

Predeceased by her daughter Teresa (Ryan), sons Michael and Peter, parents Patrick and Eileen Cullinane and brothers Paddy and John .

Sadly missed by her sons Kevin (Hollymount) and John (UK), daughter Eileen (Galway), sisters Mary, Bridie and Eileen, brother Oliver, brother in law Barry, daughter in law Virgie, former partner Liam, grandchildren Rebecca, Rachel, Sophie and Nathan. Great grandchild Isabella, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Gilligans Funeral Home Market Square, Claremorris on Saturday, March 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Frances funeral cortege will leave Gilligans Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23 at 10.30 a.m. for mass at 11.30 a.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Roundfort.

BRIDGET ANNE ROONEY, ACHILL ISLAND

Bridget Anne Rooney (née Patten), Heaton Moor Stockport and Formerly of Saula Achill Island.

Beloved wife of the late Patrick Joseph, much loved mam of Patrick, Mary, Marcelle and the late Martin and Gina. Sister of Brian, Margaret, Theresa, Martha, Kathleen, Mary, Patrick, Joe and the late Sean, Micheal and Marty. A Devoted Granny to Kara, John, Colleen, Ciaran, Declan, Niamh and Martin and Great Granny to Callum, Grace and Mia. Bridget will be very sadly missed by her loving family and many friends.

Requiem Mass to take place at St Winifred’s Church, Heaton Mersey on Thursday, April 3 at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at Mill Lane Cemetery at 11 a.m.

PATRICK MC ANDREW, BONNICONLON

Patrick Mc Andrew, Carracrum, Bonniconlon, Ballina.

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Mary. Deeply mourned by Veronica, sons Jason and Daniel, brothers John and Tommy, sisters Maureen, Sally and Margaret, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & a large circle of friends.

Remains reposing at Gallaghers Funeral Home, Bonniconlon on Friday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Remains will be removed from his residence on Saturday to Arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Bonniconlon for 1 p.m.

Requiem mass with burial afterwards in Bonniconlon Cemetery.

TOM GANNON, CASTLEBAR

Tom Gannon, Glendale, Mons Terrace, Castlebar and formerly of Salthill, Galway and Drimneen, Aughadrina, Castlebar.

Predeceased by his parents Tim and Ellen and his brothers Michael (Aughadrina), Seán (Aughadrina) and Tim (Galway).

Deeply regretted by his loving family, nephews Tim (Wicklow) and Luke (Galway), niece Marie-Clare (Galway), sister-in-law Mary (Galway), cousins, relatives, neighbours, friends and all the carers, staff and friends he met during his time in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar.

Tom will repose in Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, on Monday, March 24 from 5.30 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

Requiem Mass is on Tuesday morning at 11a.m.

Tom will be laid to rest afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.

ROSEANNE CORCORAN, CONG

Roseanne Corcoran (née Varley), late of Kilmurry, Co. Wexford, and formerly of Grawn, Ballingarry, Co. Tipperary, Two-Mile-Borris, Co. Tipperary and Creevagh, Cong.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Delia Varley, her brothers John and Gerry, sisters Kitty, Josie and Joan, and her husband Martin Corcoran. Survived by her loving Family, daughter Áine, sons Liam, Padraig and Martin, grandchildren Róisín, Clíona, Evan and Theo, son-in-law Christian, and daughters-in-laws Deirdre, Dominique and Melissa, brother Michael (Nenagh), sisters Bridie Nalty (Cross), Rita Bane (Tuam), sisters-in-law Kitty and Alice Varley, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Burke’s Funeral home, Clonbur, Co. Galway on Sunday evening March 23 from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral cortege arriving at Saint Mary of the Rosary Church, Cong, Co. Mayo for Funeral Mass at 9.30 a.m. on Monday, March 24 with burial afterwards in Lisloughrey Cemetery, Cong.

ANGELA CONNOR, BELMULLET

Angela Connor (née McArdle), Tallagh Road, Belmullet, and formerly of Nottingham, England.

Predeceased by her loving husband Declan, parents Delia and Pat McArdle, sister Teresa, brother Philip, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Beloved sister of Pauline, Michael, Mary, Paddy, Roseanne, Delia and Bernadette, nieces, nephews, Godchildren, relatives, cousins, kind neighbours and many friends.

Angela’s remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Saturday evening from 4.30 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne on Sunday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery.
