Saturday Sport: Ireland women trail France in Six Nations opener
It is a busy day of action of rugby for the Irish women and the URC, while it is the final round of the National Hurling League.
Rugby
The opening match of the Women's Six Nations is at the halfway mark in Belfast.
Ireland are taking on France, who beat them by 21 points last year. It is currently 17-5 to France.
At 4:45, Scotland take on Wales.
Three Irish provinces are in URC action later.
Leinster are in South Africa for a meeting with the Bulls from 3pm.
At 5.15pm, Ulster are away to the Dragons while Connacht face Ospreys in Wales.
GAA
The final round of fixtures in the Allianz Hurling Leagues take place today.
In Division 1A, Limerick play Wexford, Tipperary face Clare and Cork play Galway.
Tipp are assured of a final place, while Clare and Wexford are already relegated.
All of those matches throw-in at 7:30 pm.
In Division 1B, Waterford face Offaly, Laois play Dublin and Carlow take on Westmeath.
There are three games down for decision today in Division 1A of the Very Camogie Leagues.
Galway play Dublin, Tipperary face Cork and Kilkenny take on Waterford.
All of those matches get underway at 2pm.
Athletics
After winning European gold two weeks ago, Sarah Healy has finished sixth in her three-thousand metres final at the World Indoor Championships in China.
It wasn't to be for Andrew Coscoran and James Gormley in the men's equivalent either.
Norwegian superstar Jakob Ingebritsen powered home to win his first World Indoor title, whilst Coscoran finished in 6th, with Gormley in 13th.
Golf
Shane Lowry is in contention at the Valspar Championship with a four-under-par 67 at the Innisbrook Resort in Florida yesterday.
The Offaly native is two shots off the leader Jacob Bridgeman, who is 6-under par.
Waterford's Seamus Power is level par.
