Enhanced cataloguing and accessibility for Mayo's Jackie Clarke Collection

THE Ballina-based Jackie Clarke Collection has received a significant boost that will enhance the museum's cataloguing, collection accessibility, long-term preservation and engagement with researchers.

The Collection has been awarded funding through the Heritage Council’s Heritage Stewardship Fund 2025 to implement a professional Collections Management System (CMS).

Axiell is a leading global provider of innovative software solutions tailored for museums, archives and libraries and offers comprehensive tools for the management, preservation and sharing of cultural heritage collections.

The Axiell CMS will enable the museum to enhance the cataloguing, organisation and accessibility of the collection, ensuring its long-term preservation and broader engagement with researchers, educators and the public.

This exciting development, they say, will help them better manage, preserve and share the collections, making them more accessible and engaging for everyone.
