A change in weather expected for Mayo

A departure from the recent settled weather looks to be likely, according to the latest forecast.

THURSDAY, MARCH 27

Tomorrow, Thursday will be cloudy and breezy.

There will be further patchy outbreaks of light rain and drizzle and some mist and fog will linger for a time in the morning.

A band of more persistent rain will spread from the west in the afternoon.

Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with fresh and gusty southwesterly winds, strong at times in coastal areas.

Rain and showers at first, breezy at times too.

More settled conditions developing later in the weekend and for early next week.

THURSDAY NIGHT

Rain over the southeastern half of the country will continue to clear away as clear spells and scattered showers follow from the northwest.

Some of the showers could be heavy with hail. Moderate to fresh southwest winds, strong for Atlantic coasts, will veer west with the clearance.

Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees.
