Mayo student on winning hackathon team

A Mayo University of Galway student was a member of the team that has won the Medtronic Hackathon.

The team comprised Rebecca Twomey from Castlebar, with fellow students Stuthi Biyani, Reshmi Siddhanathan and Sayan Sarkar, from India, and Molly Hennessy from Co. Clare.

The hackathon, hosted in collaboration between University of Galway's IdeasLab and Medtronic, saw their team, Bloom, propose a creative idea to boost talent attraction and retention through immersive collaboration.

Team Bloom will now present their innovative concept to the Medtronic HR team in Lyon, France, this May.
