Mayo Women's Football League season launch event
The 2025 Mayo Women's Football League will be officially launched at Umbro Park, Milebush, this evening (Wednesday, April 2, at 7 p.m.
Newly appointed League of Ireland director and former sports minister Michael Ring will be attending the launch ahead of kick-off of the senior women's season.
The league will comprise three divisions this season, with 15 teams taking part. First games will be played on April 11.
Three new clubs are making their debut at the senior grade - Achill Rovers, Fahy Rovers and Glenhest Rovers, marking continued significant growth in the women's game in the county.
This comes hot on the heels of the inaugural Mayo Women's Masters League, which kicked off at the end of February and features seven teams from all around the county.
The draws for this year's cup competitions will be made at the launch, with representatives from all participating clubs, coaches and players, in attendance.
