Bringing The Starlight Ballroom to life on Mayo stage
VINTAGE vibes soar as Ultan Conlon brings The Starlight Ballroom to life at the Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar, on Saturday, April 12.
Known for his signature style of original music, compelling storytelling, and infectious sense of humour, Conlon’s album The Starlight Ballroom has a deep personal connection to Mayo. Produced in Los Angeles by Grammy winner David Garza, it draws inspiration from the iconic Starlight Ballroom in Westport.
With tracks like The Starlight Ballroom and Paradise Lane, Ultan tells stories of misfits, dreamers, and forgotten lovers, alongside his talented band mates.
Irish singer-songwriter Ultan Conlon channels the golden age of music with a sound that’s been likened to Willie Nelson, Van Morrison and Roy Orbison - a rare and resonant combination that has music lovers listening closely.
On April 12, for one night only, Ultan and his world-renowned band - Jimmy Higgins (Christy Moore, The Stunning) and Miceal O’Connor (Sharon Shannon) - bring their finely tuned magic to the Linenhall. Expect a night of musical finesse, charisma and stories that captivate as much as the melodies.
Described as “a rare treat filled with original music, beguiling backstories, and laughter,” Conlon’s live shows are more than a concert - they’re a vintage experience, delivered with charm, polish, and heart.
Tickets are available via the Linenhall.
