Mayo hospital staff facing serious overcrowding crisis
Up to 28 admitted patients are left without beds at Mayo University Hospital today due to an overcrowding crisis.
Eleven are on trolleys in the emergency department and 17 are in beds in wards elsewhere.
Nationally, 440 admitted patients are waiting for beds, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.
Of those, 286 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 154 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
