Local dancing school join line-up for two major Mayo shows

The TF Royal Castlebar, in collaboration with promoter Taylor Entertainment, has announced an exciting partnership with Mayo’s premier dance school, Danceworld.

Students from the popular stage school will open two of the venue’s upcoming blockbuster shows with a dynamic 20-minute performance.

The lucky performers will take to the stage ahead of the shows, Bitter Sweet - The Music of Sabrina Carpenter & Olivia Rodrigo, on Bank Holiday Monday, April 21, and

Taylor Fever, the ultimate tribute to Taylor Swift, on Saturday, July 5.

Áine Egan, director of Danceworld, shared her excitement.

"We’re over the moon to be added to the bill for these amazing events. Our students cannot wait to perform in the iconic TF Royal ahead of thousands of guests. We’re ready to put on the performance of a lifetime."

Celebrating their 25th anniversary, Danceworld has long been a cornerstone of the performing arts community in Mayo.

For a quarter of a century, they’ve offered non-competitive dance and performance classes to young people across the county.

Their mission is rooted in building confidence and self-expression through movement, all within a fun, inclusive, and inspiring environment. Their motto? "It's not just a movement... it's a way of life."

Michael Yates, general manager of the TF Royal, commented: "We love supporting local talent, and Danceworld’s students are the perfect fit to open these hugely popular shows. With over 1,000 tickets already sold for each concert, we’re expecting both events to sell out in the coming weeks."

From the creators of last year’s sell-out success Taylor Fever, comes Bitter Sweet — an electrifying tribute concert to pop powerhouses Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo.

This family-friendly show promises hit after hit and a high-energy atmosphere for all ages.

And on July 5, Taylor Fever returns by popular demand, following its unforgettable double-show run at the TF Royal in 2024.
