Enjoy a hilarious night out at Don’t Dress for Dinner
SAINT Patrick’s Drama Group invites you to enjoy an evening of laughter, confusion and mistaken identities in their production of Don’t Dress for Dinner.
Starting this Tuesday, April 15, and running until Friday, April 18, at Westport Town Hall Theatre, this comedy by the local group is guaranteed to leave audiences in stitches.
Directed by Liz Browne, Don’t Dress for Dinner is a classic French farce by Marc Camoletti that follows a series of outrageous misunderstandings. The Westport drama group are retelling this from an Irish setting.
Bernard, the charming protagonist, has planned a weekend of infidelity with his mistress at his country home, while his wife Jacqueline is supposed to be away. However, when unforeseen events unfold - from mistaken identities to a mix-up with the cook - everything that could possibly go wrong does, making for a hysterically chaotic evening.
This play is the perfect option for a midweek activity and to enjoy a night of laughter with friends and family. With sharp wit, physical comedy, and a fast-paced plot, Don’t Dress for Dinner offers an unmissable dose of fun and is a true celebration of farce.
A stellar cast of familiar local faces brings this gem to life.
