Bernard, the charming protagonist, has planned a weekend of infidelity with his mistress at his country home, while his wife Jacqueline is supposed to be away. However, when unforeseen events unfold - from mistaken identities to a mix-up with the cook - everything that could possibly go wrong does, making for a hysterically chaotic evening.
