Options shortlisted for upgrading of Mayo's N26 route

The Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht Dara Calleary has welcomed confirmation of a public consultation event (No. 2) for the N26 Foxford to Mount Falcon project.

The option corridors will be displayed to the public on Wednesday, April 30, from 2 to 7pm at The Great National Hotel, allowing interested parties, stakeholders and members of the community the opportunity to inspect the options, ask questions and make observations.

Said Minister Calleary: “I am encouraging as many local people as possible to attend this event.

"It is another step in the right direction for the delivery of an upgraded primary route into north Mayo.

"I am looking forward to seeing the options that have been shortlisted and to a preferred route being selected as quickly as possible."
