Plaudits for Mayo woman on receiving IRFU special recognition award
Westport Rugby Club has extended congratulations to member Liz Brady on receiving an IRFU volunteer special recognition award.
Liz is just one of seven women nominated out of the 100 recipients.
As part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, the IRFU will present a special recognition award to 100 volunteers (up to 25 per province) on April 27 next.
The awards are to celebrate and acknowledge those who have made a significant contribution to the development of the game in Ireland.
Liz, who made history by becoming Westport RFC's first female president in 2022, has always gone above and beyond from the first day she started as a volunteer.
Her dedication and time has drove the club from strength to strength.
The awards will take place at a pre-match reception ahead of the Energia All-Ireland League Finals Day at the Aviva Stadium where Liz' daughter Lily will be playing for UL Bohs.
