Mayo librarian retiring after 45 years service

A popular member of the Mayo County Library staff is counting down the days to her retirement this week.

Maureen Gallagher has given over four decades of service to the library in Crossmolina, and her final day on duty is this Friday.

Colleagues and friends at Mayo County Library have wished Maureen well on her retirement.

Maureen started with Mayo County Library as branch librarian in Crossmolina Library in 1980.

Almost 45 years later, she is now retiring, with Friday being her last working day at the branch.

All are invited to pop in on Friday to wish her well and mark the day - the library will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
