Miserable beginning to weekend for much of Mayo
Wet conditions anticipated across the region with mild temperatures set to return after this weekend along with clear spells, according to the latest forecast.
Take a look below at what the weather has in store for the county.
FRIDAY, APRIL 25
A cloudy and wet start to Friday with further outbreaks of rain.
The rain, mist, hill and coastal fog will gradually clear eastwards during the day, as sunny spells and scattered showers follow from the west.
Some will be heavy and may lead to spot flooding.
Top temperatures of 13 to 16 Celsius in light to moderate south to southeast breezes, veering southwest during the day.
It'll be mild this weekend with mixed weather.
It'll be mainly dry on Saturday, and while there'll be a little rain or some showers on Sunday, there'll be good dry spells too.
While there's still some uncertainty, it looks like it'll become mainly dry from early next week for a few days at least and it's likely to become milder.
FRIDAY NIGHT:
Any lingering rain in the east will clear early in the night, so it'll become mostly dry with clear spells and just a few isolated showers, these mainly in the west.
Some mist and fog will form in just light southwest or variable breezes. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees.
